Lola

On Saturday morning, we packed up the car (and I mean packed up the car! It amazed Justin and I how much stuff we needed for an overnight stay! I think we need a bigger car.) and headed to North Louisiana to visit Justin's grandmother, Emy, who Ryker will call Lola.

Justin's grandfather met Emy in the Phillipines when he was stationed there during the war. They fell in love, he scooped her up and he brought her back to the states, where they married and had 3 boys. I love this woman. Her energy and personality manage to awaken this otherwise slow, sleepy, rural town buried deep in the woods of North Louisiana. She has a smile that is contagious and the sweetest accent you've ever heard.

We had a great visit and look forward to bringing Ryker back real soon.
