Today was Ryker's first visit to church and although he did really well, we proceeded to make a small commotion with him during the sermon. Of course, we all had to take turns holding him/feeding him/burping him, so we passed him down the pew like an appetizer. He just looked so yummy in his new Easter outfit that it would have been a shame not to share him! And no, most of us have no idea what Pastor Steve's message was about!
Then onward to Papa Chet's house where we enjoyed an afternoon with family and feasted on barbeque brisket and Papa Chet's soul food. Mmm, Mmm, Good!
Ches and Nick were troopers. After a last minute trip to Wal-mart to pick up plastic Easter eggs and goodies to go inside, they hopped on the four wheelers and "hid" the eggs all over the property. Collin (6) and Mia (4) waited patiently as Ches and Nick finished preparing for their hunt. They, along with Jaimo (11), were the only kids of Easter egg hunting age. I think we could have chosen a smaller area for 3 people to cover! But they had a blast gathering the eggs anyhow.
