Aspen is heavenly

And a little closer to it... Mom didn't handle the altitude well. We must remedy this for next time because we must make a trip back. Our second time in the area as a family but our first time skiing here.  We spent two days in snowmass where it was convenient to drop the kids at the Treehouse for the day and us green and blue skiers could retreat to a mountain full of runs that we could tackle - well sort of. It took us all a bit to get our snow legs and while I won't call anyone out some of us spent more time on our backside than others!

Ryker did fantastic! He spent two days doing pizzas and saddling up in snow gear for the first time. I have a few good videos but not many pics since we were only allowed to watch from a far. He says he had fun and while admits he still has some practicing to do "I can't turn" I know with a little more experience he'll be on the bunnies in no time! He told us "I fell one time and the teacher told me no crying". Gotta love a kid that falls and gets right back up again!

Little conversations

Justin was working in the backyard planting trees and plants. The boys were playing. When I walked outside Ryker took me to a large broken pot and said "look what Daddy did." Then he tilted his head and softly asked "are you happy about that?"

Justin told me Ryker had fussed him when it happened shaking his head saying "mommy's not going to be happy about that".

A Super Weekend

Superhero birthday parties kept us busy all weekend. We even brought Hudson to Williams and he had a ball trying to keep up with the other older kids. I think he thought he was 4! He especially loved the trampoline.

Just Checking

Justin had been in the bathroom with the door closed and locked. From another room I hear Ryker bang on the door. "daddy". Yes. "You doing good in there?"

We can bring the cheese

I thought this was funny so I had to document for ryker later.

A tad too big for his britches

Getting ready for our pictures with Ashley Beth this morning. Hudson saw Ryker brushing his teeth and he tried to do the same. Climbed up on stool and grabbed toothbrush but got frustrated when he couldn't reach toothpaste!

Best Dad Ever

Ryker and Daddy are currently under a makeshift tent watching a movie on the iPad. Only thing better than this would be if Hudson were up to enjoy it!

Geography lesson

On way home ryker and I's convo:
Me: ryker do you know we live on Caleb dr and yaya lives on keystone and mamma lives on mill quarters. Where does aunt Jillian live?

Ryker: on Houston rd

Me: where does aunt stephie live?

Ry: on Houston rd too

Me: where does uncle Ches live?

Ry: on football rd

Me: where does Papa Chet live?

Ry: on belle isle rd and belle isle boat and belle isle water

My sweetie pie

Ryker says the sweetest things. It's 9am on Saturday and he asks me "mommy can I play with toys a little bit?" Then prior to dumping the entire baskets of toys on the floor he looks at me and politely says "don't worry mommy. I will pick it up before mrs alma gets here. I will." Then he drags out another large toy and comes reasure me "im not getting anything else mommy. K. Im not gettin anything else." Oh sweet sweet child of mine.

Earlier this morning he said "mommy can I have some milk please?" And before I could respond he put both his hands up and said "woa woa woa...we are out of milk".

Home with my Boys

After almost a week in Houston for work I couldn't wait to hug on my boys. Justin and I picked them up at school together on Friday. They both looked like they grew an inch since I saw them.
